Cody - Golden Retriever

This is my tired boy after a day at Doggy Day Care. He is a curious boy and VERY active, so you can imagine how excited I was to have found out about your services. He’s been going to Doggy Day Care approximately two to three times a week since he was 12 weeks old. Now, at 8 months, Cody is very social among other dogs and loves playing with his friends regardless of their age or size. I really like that he doesn’t have to spend hours in his kennel while I’m away, and when he’s at day care I don’t have to rush home to let him out before I’m finished with my tasks, he’s in good hands. On that note, the staff at Doggy Day Care is amazing, they are kind, courteous, informative, and most of all, they have a good sense of humor. I always get a thorough Cody report when I pick him up. The best part for me is having a little less puppy energy to deal with during the evening, a nice walk after dinner and he’s ready for bed. As we say at our house, “A tired dog is a good dog”. Thank goodness for Doggy Day Care!

From Becca and Al Moser:

Kathryn and Augusta Dog Training,

We want to thank you for saving our dog’s life. When he nipped at a small child, Augusta Training was his last hope.

Loki is a 3 1/2 year old Standard Manchester Terrier who did not get the best start in life. We know little about his first 6 months, but we know he was somewhat neglected by his breeder. Through our work with Kathryn, we were able to establish that Loki’s fear of people somehow shifted from cowering and hiding to aggression and overprotection of his new owners and his home.

After 6 months of in-home and out-of-home training, Loki has changed dramatically. Kathryn tailored our lessons specifically to address Loki and his training needs. With strict limitations set in the home and training consistency, he has flourished. He is a happy dog, not a frightened one.

Thank you with all our hearts,
Becca and Al Moser – Savage, MN

From Kathy Sparrow:

Dear Augusta Training Systems,

I want to thank you Kathryn and your trainer, Nancy Fisher, whom I might say was great! With helping me get my dog (Bonnie) under control and teaching me the correct way of training her.

Your Training Program is excellent. I had enough time between lessons to practice with Bonnie & not feel pressured. I've told numerous people of your program and the results. They especially enjoy my story of the first 60 minutes with Kathryn. In fact, my neighbor thought I had gotten a new dog and that was after the first lesson! And after the second lesson, my neighbor said "I've seen Bonnie at her worst, and now I've seen her at her best!" Now that's saying a lot!

I would recommend your services to anyone who has a dog.

Thanks again,

Kathy Sparrow (and Bonnie)

From Jeanne and Ken:

Kathryn, Thank you for all of your valuable input in planning our training program for Cally. We appreciate it!!! We found Nancy to be an excellent trainer.

From Nancy Joas:

Kathryn, I just wanted to let you know what a pleasure it has been to work with Nancy Fisher as well as the staff at Doggy Daycare. Chloe is making progress every week. It was such a thrill last week to pick her up at the Daycare and hear she had been actually playing with other dogs! I appreciate Nancy's patience and kindness not only with Chloe but with me as well.

The staff at Doggy Daycare continued working with us last week with the same patience and kindness that made Chloe and me both believe one day Chloe will be a confident, happy, well mannered little girl.

Heather Wahl from St. Paul, MN:

I’ve had Chloe since she was about 6 weeks old after being dumped in a parking lot in the winter. We began puppy socialization classes immediately, followed by obedience classes, which bored her. Despite my efforts, her behavior became more and more unpredictable and her destruction and aggression were beginning to spiral out of control. Our first trainer didn’t know what to do with her and referred us to the animal behaviorists. They sent me out the door with a book to read and a muzzle. Most people who knew our story continued to wonder why I put forth so much time, money, and energy into a mixed breed with such complicated issues.

Kathryn was Chloe’s last chance. The results were immediate! Chloe is a completely different dog not even six months after our initial consultation. She still has an amazing strong will and drive, but Kathryn has taught me how to begin to read her unique personality and channel it in positive ways. We have both been through such an amazing transformation it’s difficult to think about just how close she was to being euthanized. Watching her succeed is a huge reward in itself. I look forward to continuing to work with a dog that is truly one of a kind!

I've been meaning to send a note to thank you again for all of your excellent advice and work with training Bob. I never would have believed how well behaved he could be, he just needed the right training! So far, he's doing a great job with Sam, and Sam absolutely loves Bob. Hopefully they will be great pals : )

With much thanks,

Erik, Nicole, Sam and Bob Norsted
